NHS staff can get £20 off Uber Eats Deliveries or Uber Taxis over Christmas
Christmas is a busy time of year for everyone, but perhaps none more so than for NHS staff. To say thank you for everything they do for us all year, this Christmas we’re trying to make their lives a little bit easier.
Between Monday, 23 December and Friday, 27 December, NHS staff members can enjoy either two free rides which could be used to and from work or two free meals at the end of their shift from Uber Eats, giving them an opportunity to put their feet up.
How it works
Step 1 NHS staff members can enter their NHS email address in the form below up until Friday 20 December. We need your NHS email to verify whether you qualify for this festive promotion, but don’t worry, it will only be used for the purposes of this offer.
Step 2 If you don’t already have the Uber or Uber Eats app, you can download it from the App Store or Play Store, otherwise, simply open the Uber app. Tap the menu in the top left corner of your screen and select ‘Payment’. You can then select ‘Add promo code’ towards the bottom of the menu and add each code you’ve been sent.
Step 3 That’s it! You’re good to go. You can now either enjoy 2 x £10 trips or 2 x £10 off your next Uber Eats order. Whichever offer you choose, your codes must be redeemed between 00:00am on 23 December and 11:59pm on 27 December.
Follow the link below to fill in their form. To get the deal, NHS workers need to apply by 9am on December 20 and you can only use your email address once.

(We are not affiliated with Uber eats / Uber taxis, so any engagement is purely down to the individual)
The Sun Newspaper have also mentioned other NHS discounts;
NHS staff, emergency service workers and members of the Armed Forces can sign up for a Blue Light Card to get exclusive discounts on the high street.
There’s two different cards you can get, one for online and a physical card to shop in stores.
The digital card is free but the physical card costs £4.99 and lasts two years at a time.
You can register online here but you’ll need to prove your profession to qualify for the card.
Here’s who qualifies for Blue Light Club:
- 4×4 response, Ambulance Service, Blood Bikes, Border Force, British Army, Cave Rescue, Community First Responders, Fire Service, Highways Agency, HM Armed Forces Veterans, HM Coastguard, HM Prison Service, Immigration Enforcement, Lowland Search and Rescue, MoD Civil Servant, MoD Fire Service, MoD Police, Mountain Rescue, NHS, Police, Red Cross, Reserved Armed Forces, RNLI, Royal Air Force, Royal Marines, Royal Navy, Search and Rescue, Second Line Responders, St Andrews Ambulance, St John Ambulance, UK Visa and Immigration
Unfortunately you can’t see which offers are available until you’ve signed up but retailers who have taken part in the past include Starbucks, Apple, New Look and Cineworld.
The discounts are constantly changing so it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly what money you’ll be saving.
If you’ve already got a Blue Light Card, remember to always compare prices to make sure what you’re buying isn’t cheaper elsewhere.
Other discount deals;
Iceland often runs deals for emergency service staff where they can get 10 per cent off their shopping bill.
Nandos also offers 20 per cent off to customers who work in the emergency services, forces and NHS.
